Authava and n8n

Let Authava handle the customer conversation and let n8n do the work around it. Your n8n workflows run at each stage of a conversation through standard webhooks and Authava's API, so you keep using n8n for automation instead of rebuilding it inside a chatbot.

Why Use Both?

Authava is not a workflow engine, and doesn't try to be. n8n is excellent at workflows: moving data between systems, branching logic, scheduled jobs, and hundreds of app connections.

Authava is built for the part n8n doesn't do: talking with your customers. It answers from your approved content, collects details naturally, hands off to a person, and reports what visitors are asking.

Put together, a visitor talks to Authava, and n8n does the work behind the scenes.

We use n8n ourselves. A number of Authava's own workflows run on n8n, so we know first-hand how well the two fit together.

How Does Authava Connect To n8n?

Through n8n's webhooks and Authava's API, at each stage of a conversation:

When What happens
Conversation starts Authava can call your n8n webhook and use the result to shape the bot's first message
A specific question A question can trigger your n8n workflow and show its result as the answer
Mid-conversation The bot can call an n8n webhook as a tool when it decides it needs live data, through the MCP Gateway
Conversation ends Once a conversation appears finished, Authava can send it to your n8n workflow
Any time n8n can call Authava's management API, for example to upload documents or pull transcripts

It all works with n8n's standard nodes, so there's nothing extra to install: n8n receives Authava's calls with its Webhook node, and calls Authava with its HTTP Request node. See Full Integration for each hook in detail.

What Can I Build With It?

  • Lead routing: when a conversation ends, n8n scores the lead and sends it to the right person or system.
  • Live answers: the bot asks an n8n workflow for an order status or a price, and replies with the real result.
  • Document pipelines: n8n watches a folder or a system and uploads updated documents to your bot through the API.
  • Reporting: n8n pulls transcripts on a schedule and feeds them into your own analytics.

Who Sets It Up?

Our managed services team connects the Authava side with you. Your team, or whoever builds your n8n workflows, owns the n8n side.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Authava integrate with n8n?

Yes, through webhooks and Authava's API. Authava can call your n8n workflows at several points in a conversation, and n8n can call Authava's API.

What do I need in n8n?

Just n8n's standard Webhook and HTTP Request nodes. There's nothing extra to install.

Should I build my chatbot in n8n instead?

You can build a basic chatbot in n8n, but you'd also be building accuracy controls, handoff to people, transcripts, and analytics yourself. Authava handles the conversation so n8n can focus on the workflow. See Build vs. Buy.
